Wine production area: La Morra, Barolo, Piedmont
Position: Cuneo, Piedmont

With a more than century-old history behind it, the Marengo winery was founded in the late nineteenth century, exactly back in 1899, when in La Morra, a Piedmontese town in the province of Cuneo, the wine reality of via XX Settembre n came to life ° 34, still existing today.

Managed exclusively family-run, there have been four generations that have succeeded in carrying out the company activities to date, with the current owner Marco Marengo who recently received the reins from his father Mario, the latter certainly one of the figures of greater thickness throughout the history of the Marengo winery.

With an extension planted with vines which currently covers about six hectares, the Marengo winery has planted among its rows the typical grapes par excellence of the Piedmont lands: Barbera, Dolcetto and Nebbiolo. In any case, vines are bred and cared for maniacally, with the utmost respect for what is the balance of the environment, nature, ecosystem and biodiversity, so as to get to harvest harvest after harvest healthy, honest, rich and concentrated in every smallest organoleptic nuance.
After the harvest, the fruit is processed in the cellar following a not too classic, but innovative and modern stylistic imprint, made of short fermentations and intense extraction at the same time, followed by aging in barrique. What is not overlooked are the highest quality standards.

Here then come labels that represent the faithful mirror of the variety of which they are daughters and of the terroir from which they come.

From Barbera d’Alba “Vigneto Pugnane” we move on to Barolo “Bricco delle Viole”, then on to Barolo Brunate and Dolcetto d’Alba, closing with Nebbiolo d’Alba Valmaggiore: they are all wines, those that they come under the name Marengo, the result of a deep love for their lands and their vineyards and the result of an unconditional passion for their work. Authentic wines in all respects.
