Company was born in 2002. The name “Boffalora” comes from the toponym of one of the main vineyards of the company and recalls the blowing of the wind: in Valtellina the winds are called Breva and Tivano, during the day from the lake of Como rises the Breva and at night in the opposite direction the Tivano descends.

In 2008, the company converted into an area of about 10,000 square meters, called “Boffalora”, which for 30 years has been a wood in a vineyard, with rows of grapes (parallel to the valley).

In April 2015, it expanded its area by purchasing a plot of land of approximately 8,000 square meters in the “Guasto” Municipality of Castione Andevenno, for the construction of other vineyards, which will give continuity to the vineyard below implanted with a new clone of Nebbiolo, appearing of a large “Amphitheater”.

In the same year a new project began at almost 700 m. of altitude in a very impervious but equally fascinating area immersed in the rocks at the northern limit of the “Sassella”.

The passion for the territory is enclosed and told in the bottle.

Part of the vineyards are historic, with centuries-old Nebbiolo vines, preserved with particular care and attention.
